Q – When is the Don’t Worry Be Hoppy 5K, 10K Run/Walk?
A – DWBH is scheduled for Saturday, May 31, 2025. The 10K will start at 9:30 AM, the 5K will start at 10:00 AM, & Kids Run start at 11:00 AM.
Q- Where will the Don’t Worry Be Hoppy 10K & 5K Run/Walk take place?
A – Packet pick-up and start/finish-line are located at the Waconia Brewing Co. 255 W Main St, Waconia, MN
Q- What if it Rains on Race Day?
A- This is a Rain or Shine event! If a thunderstorm should be forecasted, we would delay start times until we felt it safe for the participants. (No snow forecasted! 🙂
Q- Can I exchange my shirt for a different Size?
A- We would prefer you don’t, BUT, check with Registration after 10:30am Race Day
Q- Can I get a refund if my plans change for May 31st?
A- NO REFUNDS, this is in part a fund raiser
Q- Can I switch events once registered? (5K & 10K)
A- No (Sorry)
Q- Is there a Door Prize Drawing?
A- Yes, registered runners are automatically entered. Prizes will be pre-drawn. An email will be sent to all winners. Winners will be required to pick-up their prize on Race day May 31st, at a designated Prize table. If winners don’t pick-up their prizes by 11:15am, those prizes will randomly be given away to other participants.
Q – How will I know my time?
A – The 10K & 5K race will be chip timed with results posted on our website. There will also be a display clock at the finish line for you to check your time. The Kids Run will not be timed, it’s a fun run.
Q – What is included in my registration?
A – Runners/walkers will receive a custom designed Hoppy T-shirt, custom designed pint glass, a FREE WBC beer, or root beer.
Q-Is there a packet pickup?
A- Yes, Packet Pick-up will be held on Friday May 30th from 3pm-7pm. (at the Waconia Brewing Co.) Then again on race day beginning @ 7:30am.
Q- Can I register the day of the event?
A- Yes, Friday May 30th 3-7PM. Race Day May 31st starting at 7:30AM
Q – Is this a handicap friendly event?
A – Yes, the 10K & 5K race is handicap friendly. Wheelchairs, both manual and electric are welcome. Please position yourself near the back to ensure safety for all participants.
Q – Will there be awards?
A – Yes, we will provide awards for the top 2 men and women in both the 5K & 10K. Here are our age categories: 19 & under, 20 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60 – 69, 70 – 79, and 80 +. There will be an awards ceremony at 11:15AM Race Day in front of the WBC. Please attend our awards ceremony!
