DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to offer this racing event again this year. BMC’s Go for the Gust is held during Grantsburg’s Big Gust Days. \nCOURSE:\n5K (approx. 3.1 miles): On paved roads starting and finishing at Burnett Medical Center.\n10K (approx. 6.2 miles): Extended course with same start and finish as 5K. \nSCHEDULE OF EVENTS:\n6:00am-8:00am: Same-day registration & packet pick-up\n7:30am: Start of 10k race.\n8:00am: Start of 5k race. \nRACE FEE:\n$30 for 5k/$25 ages 65+ and 16 & under.\n$40 for 10k/$35 ages 65+ and 16 & under.\nSame day registration fees increase by $5. \nREGISTRATION:\nEveryone who pre-registers by Friday\, May 3 will receive a moisture wick t-shirt—so register early! Sorry\, no refunds. Each year the proceeds benefit a local organization. This year\, all profits will be donated towards Interfaith Caregivers of Burnett County. \nPARKING:\nPark at Burnett Medical Center (257 W St George Ave\, Grantsburg\, WI 54840). DESCRIPTION:Join the greater local running community for an exciting morning as we run with and for the Members of Mile in My Shoes! The Downtown Run Around 5K will be held on Saturday\, June 7\,\non the University of Minnesota campus and is the perfect race for serious racers and fun runners alike. Bring your family & friends – we invite all levels of run/walkers to join us for a fun\nand healthy morning\, in-person or virtually. Participants receive our signature tri-blend race tee and post-race treats! Note: Mile in My Shoes offers free race entry to runners/walkers with lived\nexperience of homelessness\, incarceration\, military service\, or addiction; in the BIPOC community; and those with disabilities (contact dra5k@mileinmyshoes.mn for more info). \n100% of the proceeds from this event will go directly to Mile in My Shoes\, a 501(c)(3) organization. Mile in My Shoes (MiMS) teams of Resident Members (people staying in shelters\,\nreentry centers\, and recovery programs) and volunteer Run Mentors have run thousands of miles side by side\, completing races from one mile to a marathon(!) in pursuit of our vision:\nusing the power of running to bring together people from diverse backgrounds to build connections\, boost wellness\, spark social change\, and center people traditionally excluded from\nrunning spaces.
