It’s the ultimate challenge for dedicated runners\, with free shirts\, community vibes\, and the chance to fund impactful nonprofits in Minneapolis. You’ll leave with a full heart and satisfied legs! \nVictory Kids Run\nBig fun for little runners! The Victory Kids Run is all about inspiring the next generation of athletes with a kid-friendly race that’s energetic\, exciting\, and inclusive. Perfect for young runners enjoying the MEA weekend\, every participant receives a free shirt and plenty of encouragement from the supportive crowd. Bring the family\, cheer on the kids\, and celebrate community together! \nCOURSE \nThis course is flat\, straight\, and fast! The race starts on Webber Parkway near Colfax and proceeds west on Victory Memorial Drive to the flagpole. It then turns directly south to Lowry to the halfway point turn-around and returns the same route\, finishing on Webber Parkway near Bryant Ave. The 5K course is flat\, out to the flagpole and back. BMC’s Go for the Gust is held during Grantsburg’s Big Gust Days. \nCOURSE:\n5K (approx. 3.1 miles): On paved roads starting and finishing at Burnett Medical Center.\n10K (approx. 6.2 miles): Extended course with same start and finish as 5K. \nSCHEDULE OF EVENTS:\n6:00am-8:00am: Same-day registration & packet pick-up\n7:30am: Start of 10k race.\n8:00am: Start of 5k race. \nRACE FEE:\n$30 for 5k/$25 ages 65+ and 16 & under.\n$40 for 10k/$35 ages 65+ and 16 & under.\nSame day registration fees increase by $5. \nREGISTRATION:\nEveryone who pre-registers by Friday\, May 3 will receive a moisture wick t-shirt—so register early! Sorry\, no refunds. Each year the proceeds benefit a local organization.
